An important step for Saab and the rebuilding and restructuring of the dealer network in the People's Republic of China. Sales will begin in September 2011 after CATC has established a Saab National Sales Agency.
The new company will take over all sales, marketing and after sales activities of Shanghai GM, which was previously responsible for Saab sales. Another step to the important own dealer network and another solution out of the General Motors past.
The restart in China will be done with 10 dealers.
Jan Åke Jonsson, still CEO and Saab president, sees great growth potential in the world's largest car market. With the Saab 9-5 and the new Saab 9-4x, he sees Saab in the market of China's most demanded premium automobiles very well positioned.
