On March 26, 2011, the WWF called for “Earth Hour 2011” to save energy. In Germany, hotels, public institutions and some smaller towns took part in it.

Ever since we saw the Swedish Crown Princess Victoria drive through her country in the Saab 9-5, she has been our focus and we've been checking how to keep it there.

The royal family in Stockholm is thus more serious than many in Germany and they wanted to set a sign again. As in the year 2010, the royal palace's facade lighting remained off during the Earth Hour of 20: 30 to 21: 30.

The royal residences in Drottningholm, Gripsholm and Rosendal also switched off the floodlights of the facades.
