So that's when you sell Swedish technology to China. At some point you will meet them again. The Saab 9-3 has gotten a second life and starts a new career as Bejiing T60, which sounds more like a Russian war machine than an elegant sedan.

The T60 is based on the 2010 BAIC acquired platform of the Saab 9-3 and 2012 will go into production in China. Design wise, the Bejiing has miles away from its origin. Without envy, we have to realize that car design in China is getting better, but we really do not like it.

The T60 will act as the flagship of the Bejiing label. Bejiing is not considered a “strong brand” even in China, but they want to fix this with advertising activities in order to achieve the demanding quantity planning.

The current restriction policy of the rulers in Beijing is a problem. In the capital, the monthly registration on 20.000 new cars is limited, which makes it difficult for a newcomer to be successful. In other cities, license plate fees have been raised, making any new registration exterm expensive. Good luck in the second life.
