Saab crisis ends - Chinese save Saab!
Saab crisis ends - Chinese save Saab!

Saab's new Chinese partner would like to see what he bought. The management of the Hawtai Motor Group visits the factory in Stallbacka today. The Saab employees are back on the conveyor belt and are producing a small series of 20 Saab for the visit from the Far East. The visitors are given an insight into Saab's production techniques. There are 900-1000 employees in the plant this morning.

The majority of Saab employees will return home after the visit, leaving a small core team of some 20 employees in the factory to prepare for the new production. Gunnar Brunius, production manager at Saab Automobile, says production could start again within a week. For this, the 800 Saab suppliers must comply with the complex process. The industry association speculated yesterday in the Swedish media that it will take several weeks before Saab can go back into production.
