Yesterday was day one of the Chinese delegation from Hawtai in Trollhättan. The new owner visited the press shop and got a demonstration in production. 20 vehicles were built especially for the visitors. Richerd Zhang, Vice President of the Hawtai Motor Group and his employees did not want to speak to the numerous press and disappeared into an office building on the factory premises after the day of the visit.

Saab production manager Gunnar Brunius described the first day as very pleasing and the press crew had to go home without further interview.

Meanwhile leaked that Saab should have opted in the proverbial last second for Hawtai. Originally talks were held with other partners in China, some sources (speculative) suspect intensive negotiations with BAIC. Shortly before the end of the negotiations, Svenska Dagbladet reported that they had submitted an offer from Hawtai, and Saab spontaneously decided in favor of this partner.

Further details are not yet known, but it certainly remains interesting. We miss Vladimir Antonov, who was not seen and heard all week. His Swedish spokesman Carlström, who has provided the press daily with new information, seems to have lost his language. Originally Vladimir Antonov had announced his visit to Trollhättan for this week.
