Update: 10: 12
At the Saab factory in Stalbacka, preparations are underway to start production on Friday. The Saab employees, who have been on forced leave for weeks with full pay compensation, are to pass the factory gates tomorrow.
The negotiations with the suppliers are running at full speed, so far all sides expect a start of the tapes on Friday.
With the important supplier IAC Group, who among other things manufactures door panels and instruments in the Skara and Färgelanda plants for Saab, a supply contract was signed today. IAC now starts production and is fully capable of delivery within one week. The contract does not mean, however, that IAC will withdraw the terminations for 200 employees, pronounced during the Saab Crisis.
It will finally be a good day for Saab if we can announce that the tapes are running. We keep our fingers crossed for the successful production start!
