Saab News Trollhättan: Production in progress
Update: 12: 50
The Swedish news agency TT today announced the start of production at Saab after seven weeks of stoppage. Finally. Saab CEO Victor Muller, Pang Da, President Pang Quinghua and Production Manager Gunnar Brunius were present. The first produced car was a silver Saab 9-5 Aero, the second a Saab 9-3 Cabriolet of the Independence Edition.
Meanwhile, Saab has more than 8.100 vehicles in the order books, including 1.600's new Saab 9-4x.
At the press conference on the factory premises, Victor Muller and the President of Pang Da emphasized the strong belief in Saab's strength. "The brand has a bright future ahead of it in China," said Pang Quinghua, the largest car dealer in the People's Republic. Pang Da sold around 470.000 cars in China last year.
The deputation of Pang Da with President Pang Quinghua started the tour of the plant in Trollhättan and the development department after the press conference.

Finally! I was afraid that after 42 years of driving a Saab I would now have to look for another brand!! What alternative is there? had come to me again and again? Today I can finally sleep well again, it continues! SAAB, stay like this, you are part of my life!
A raven-black day for the doomsday fetishists and a happy day for me!
Nobody except Vm would have managed this hussar piece and therefore I mutate into a fan of this man - if only he had more money himself ...
I would have preferred Tata as an investor, but what is not, can not be changed.
In any case, the unspeakable toads from the Saab forums can retreat back into their caves - of course always with a watchful eye and eagle eyes, which VM is doing wrong again...
Good news for Saab are always welcome in the current situation, unfortunately bad news has been enough.
The world would be a bit poorer without Saab.
Meanwhile, I drive my twelfth Saab (TurboX) with my first car being a Volvo 112S.
I'm pretty Swedish oriented as far as my cars are concerned.
Even if now the Chinese sit on the board so I can only welcome, we all know what GM has done with Saab in the past.
I also keep my fingers crossed and congratulate the customers who ordered a car during the crisis.
To the customers who still have doubts… .. "Buy Saab cars, they are excellent products"
My dealer expects my Griffin to be ready next week. I can't believe it 🙂
Very good! Finally something works again.
Let's see how quickly the residues are removed and the production is permanently secured.
Would not it be nice if Saab came up with a little thank-you for its customers, who ordered a car despite the crisis. Would be a good sign of loyalty.
Finally positive again! Fingers crossed that it stays that way.
