The turbo is very well tuned, you don't notice any turbo lag and the use of the charger can only be felt for very “turbo-sensitive” people. First, we wanted to get the small engine tuned immediately with Swiss help. Now let's wait and see.
Within a week we spent 1.500 kilometers, mainly on highways with our little Saab. The first impression of a very quiet and comfortable touring car has condensed. The sports seats are as usual first class, the processing and operation great.
The 9-3 sportswear is not only elegant, it is also practical. A low sill, a wide-opening tailgate. In addition practical Verzurösen and easily umklapbare rear seats. Unlike other lifestyle suits, the rear end is not too slanted. A plus, if you like us often with bulky cargo on the way.
Although the sports suit is "only" on 16 inch rims, which is not the best in terms of appearance, but the driving comfort and the coordination of the tight and yet comfortable chassis speak for the tires.
What we noticed. The small turbo gasoline engine has a good, “Saabigen” sound. Somehow, the acousticians incorporated borrowings from the old Saab 900 into the sound. No idea how you did it in Trollhättan, the 9-3 turns into our street, then we know there is a Saab coming.
A particularly cool design feature is the look of the “iced” rear lights. If at first glance it looks like the commonplace rear light of a Ford station wagon, at second glance, and especially in the dark, one sees the cool, Scandinavian look that makes the rear of the 9-3 sports suit unmistakable.
Buy a Saab now? Is not that crazy ? We can only repeat ourselves. No matter if 9-3 or 9-5. Saab builds great cars, they are the best Saab in years. Even if the tapes are in Trollhättan and the choice is limited. It is worthwhile to buy a demonstration car or an exhibition vehicle.
