There are Saab fans, they are people like you and me. They like to drive cars of this unique Swedish brand and much prefer to talk about them. And there are people who live Saab. For them there is the family, the children and then Saab. Saab - and then nothing for a long time. These people are passionate about it. Dieter Nitschke is such a person.
Dieter wrote me a mail a few days ago that I really liked, since then we are in contact. He sells Saab since 1984 Saab center Göttingen and is on 1. April retirement pension gone.
Now it's not so easy to retire a thoroughbred Saab man. Is it? Especially not in times like these, when the brand finds itself in heavy storms. So what does (Saab) man (s) do? Dieter Nitschke has not given up his job at the Saab Center because he wants, as he says, “to accompany Saab in this difficult time”. A great attitude.
At the Saab center in Göttingen until recently, there were a few new Saab 9-3 Griffin, but now all are sold, leaving only two Saab 9-5 Aero demonstration cars and two Saab 9-5 TiD or TTiD.
He is very enthusiastic about the new Saab 9-5, because he only gets positive feedback from his customers. And he thinks we write far too little about the 9-5. That's right, but as I already told Dieter, we don't have a new 9-5 and (unfortunately) we won't get one. Because at the dealers and at Saab, we do not exist in this regard. But that can still change.
Private Dieter drives, how could it be otherwise, a new Saab 9-3 TTiD Aero sport combination. A great car, as I have been able to confirm for some days. Thanks for the mail and the nice contact. Saab needs people who live the brand. Like Dieter Nitschke.
