The Chinese majority shareholders of the future, Pang Da and Youngman, are promoting the Saab 9-5 sports car in major Chinese cities.

At the same time, they are looking for a location for the new Saab plant in China. Although the final decision will not be made until the end of August, the media is already reporting that Tianjin is the preferred location.

Tianjin is located near the capital, Beijing, the hotspot of the largest car market in the world. Great Wall will also be producing at the Tianjin site in the future.

Saab Automobile Sweden has meanwhile sent a delegation of production specialists to China who have inspected Youngman's facilities. The Swedish delegation is of the opinion that it would be possible to run new Saab from the Youngman bands with a relatively small amount of change in the future.
