Saab News Sweden: Saab notes
Update: 18: 41
Really not much has happened in Sweden on Saab. While Saab dealers ANA, Saabsunited, Maptun Performance and Hirsch Performance are preparing the Saab Oktoberfest in Trollhättan, we are still waiting for positive signals. The Swedes and the visitors to the Oktoberfest are having a really good time. ANA offers Saab aluminum rims with a 50% discount and, with tears in your eyes, you can buy new Saab from stock.
ANA has new Saab 9-5 and Saab 9-3 on stock for a good price. While here for months everything is more or less dried out and Saab drivers change brands, there is still a good stock in Sweden, UK and USA.
The union IF Metal has withdrawn today in Vänersborg the bankruptcy application against Saab Automobile AB and Saab Powertrain AB. That's a good sign from the union, even if more symbolic. Because all bankruptcy applications are dormant during the reconstruction phase.
The September salaries for the Saab employees were paid today on the train of the state wage guarantee. August and September payments have flowed and at least the families in Trollhättan should have a little less worries in the short term.
Not yet in sight are unfortunately the 640 million crowns of Youngman. Saab had reassured the court that the money would come within two weeks. The Youngman funds are an important stock for a successful reconstruction. Today, Gunilla Gustavs of the Saab PR Department has reassured representatives of the press that the funds are on their way and expected this week.
Today is Wednesday. The week is not long and I would feel better if the funds were in the accounts. Well, maybe my Saab specific nerve endings have become quite thin due to the long crisis.
There are still a few things to be said about the market in Germany. But first I have to check my emails ... Until then.
