The Saab crisis has various effects. What does the Saab fan do in the crisis - he gets a restoration object. If Saab were to build cars, it would have been more of an annual car, but now we are screwing on the Saab 9000. After several Saab 900 and English cars, it is nothing unusual for me, but new territory for Achim.
In order to be able to start working, I was on the road again with my friend Achim in terms of the Saab 9000. After his Berlin Saab 9000 arrived safely in the garage in southern Hesse, we bought a second 9000 as a spare parts carrier. Saab slaughter is a bad word - I usually prefer conservation wherever possible.
Before now the tears flow, the spare parts carrier is beyond saving and can only be slaughtered. After 19 years and more than 4 owners who did not mean well with the Swede, the end is near. The brown plague has struck, the engine has painted the sails, and only the interior and other parts are to be used.
But just the parts we need are there and work. Since Achim and I now own two Saab 9000, the purchase was a sensible investment. More about the mission Saab 9000 is coming in the next few weeks.
That the Saab scene lives in spite of the crisis in Sweden, you could see last Saturday in Frankfurt at the Christmas party of the Saab Club Rhein Main.
Wolfgang Messer, Frankfurt Saab fan with passion, has made some pictures that I like to publish. In January comes the next small, relaxed Saab meeting in Frankfurt, it would be nice to welcome even more Saab riders from the Frankfurt area.
Maybe we have good Saab news from Sweden until then and the year 2012 will be better for our Scandinavian manufacturer than it was the year 2011. Business news from Sweden on the current situation arrive on Sunday. Until then, have a nice weekend.
