What is Jan Åke Jonsson doing?

Almost a year ago, the former Saab CEO Trollhättan left. For me, Jan Åke Jonsson has always been the trustworthy, serious, Swedish face of Saab and a man of soft tones. Without him, that's for sure, Saab would have disappeared from the scene years ago.

The development of the PhoeniX platform, which today makes Saab interesting for investors, was started in all secrecy in its time and with its knowledge. Sometimes it is the quiet ones standing in the background who are the true heroes. After leaving Saab, it became quieter around him, because he wanted to spend more time with the family.

Now he is back and will join Polstiernan Industri AB as Chief Executive Officer. With the companies Pallco and R-Man The industrial group processes and refines steel, copper and aluminum products.

Can a former Saab man find that exciting after spending most of his life in automobile production? Apparently, otherwise he would not do it. Even if it is hard to imagine.

Anyway. We wish Jan Åke Jonsson much fun with his new task.

  • Not that GM is still making claims on the Phoenix platform because development began under their aegis ...

Too bad, I still had the faint hope that JAJ could lead a new SAAB company ... (so with real money and without VM)
