Project Saab new car purchase!

It all started relatively unspectacularly in January 2011. My wife's 9-3 sedan was three years old and should actually be replaced by a new variant. After careful consideration, we came to the decision to wait until March with the order, as it is well known that the Griffin presentation should take place at the Geneva Motor Show. So I drove to Geneva on March 03rd, 2011 to inspect the sedan, but also the 9-5 sports station wagon (at that time my future car) and the 9-4X.

I met Swade briefly, but couldn't chat with him after the Phoenix presentation because of the hustle and bustle at the booth. What a pity ! ! When the configuration for the order was ready, production came to a standstill with the well-known consequences. When we were able to sell my wife's car in July, good advice was expensive. Here, too, as so often in our SAAB life, the mobile forum helped quickly and as usual uncomplicated and provided us with a 9-3 sports suit for the transition period. Now the search started. Initially, there was still great hope that production would start again and that the Saab 9-3 that had been ordered would still roll off the assembly line in Trollhättan. BTW: the order continues. !

By December 19 at the latest it was clear that the new car would probably take a while ”!

So drop by Mobile and Autoscout every day. Even from the mobile forum we almost bought a young used vehicle from ANA. Unfortunately, the outside color didn't match here. Then on January 23rd stood at Dealership Geers in Hüven a black 9-3 as a limo, BJ end of 2010 with a daily registration in February 2011 with about 100 km on the clock. After a few phone calls it was clear: the car came from Spain to Germany via Belgium.

Here again a big thank you to Jens Ehrke and Michael Helfer from SAAB Germany for their patience and support. So the purchase contract was signed and the car was delivered directly to the mobile forum for an additional 300 euros. You feel safer when a few trained eyes are present at the delivery. The car arrived by van as agreed on Monday, January 30th in Kötzschenbrodaer Strasse in Dresden. After a detailed check of the vehicle, the sales contract was signed and the Saab was driven into the sacred halls for preparation and beautification. Here the rear windows should still be tinted. An essential extra for Sabbath drivers with small children, which unfortunately is not available ex works. In addition, the standard silver-colored strip above the license plate holder was painted black (decadent, gell Rudi), the car was fitted with winter tires and a slight increase in performance was added. We picked him up on February 02nd!

Unfortunately with us in the registration circle license plate with two numbers behind the letter combination only for motorcycles
intended !

Our offspring have been excited all day. The very little one kept telling “Mama… Car… Bias”, which, loosely translated, should mean “Today we are going to get Momma's new car from Uncle Tobias”!

And there he was. Just beautiful. After a short handover procedure we went home again. When setting up and connecting the phones with the integrated hands-free system, we also noticed that the 9-3 still has some nice extras that were not in the vehicle description. So it should only have a preparation for mobile phones as standard. The built-in rain sensor and the cornering light were also added!

Finally, we would like to thank the following people for their patience and support:

- with you - Tom, you can't do it without your daily reporting!
- at Klaus 9-5II, without your advice we would not have bought from GEERS!
- for Messrs Bruns and Radtke from dealership GEERS!
- at SAAB Germany, represented by Messrs. Ehrke and Helfer!
- with the entire team from the Mobilforum!

THANK YOU, TACK SA MYCKET!

Awesome box - but why did you make the “L” on the license plate white?

Oh, that's what the dark panes are at the back, I always wondered. I have a baby too, but I haven't thought of that yet. I don't like it optically at all ... Always thought it was an imitation of a US stretch limo ...

But otherwise a nice black car without the usual German Premiumlametta everywhere

Congratulations and thank you for the friendly mention

Yes, I also bought my 9-5 II Turbo4 Lim in early January at Autohaus Geers / Mr. Bruns and was very satisfied with the handling and the conditions.
For me, too, the delivery followed on trailers from the nice pensioner (thank you again!) To the front door ...
My beautiful has country of origin Greece and also came over Belgium.
And finally:
I am veeery and completely satisfied with my purchase!
