Annual General Meeting of the 1. German Saab Club

The 1. German Saab Club is one of the platforms for the fans of the cult brand from Trollhättan. With over 300 members, he is the strongest Saab Association in Germany. Matthias Meise, organizer of the annual general meeting and new 1. Chairman, has released the report for publication.

Dear Saab friends!

From the 02. to 03.Juni 2012 this year's Annual General Meeting took place in Bebra.

The meeting of the 1. German Saab clubs with exit and annual general meeting was a complete success.

Already on Saturday, the club members met in the Workshop by Matthias Meise in Bebra-Breitenbach. There was coffee and cake, and nice conversations were held. You got to know each other, some members met for the first time, and you exchanged views about the Saab brand.

Subsequently, all participants drove together in a SAAB convoy, consisting of ca.15 vehicles, to the border museum Schifflersgrund to Bad Soden-Allendorf. In the museum, we got an 1,5 hour tour around the theme of East-West border.

After visiting the memorial we drove back to Bebra. Our Schwedenkonvoi made a stop in Bebra -Rautenhausen, the home of Matthias Meise. There was then a photo shoot of all Saab vehicles. When were so many Saab vehicles gathered in Bebra-Rautenhausen? Probably never before!

After leaving, the participants were able to move into their hotel rooms. At around 19.30 p.m. there was an evening buffet in Bebra-Hessischer Hof. The food was very rich and delicious. There was actually nothing that we should have missed !!! After dinner, the evening ended with a sociable Saab round.
On Sunday, the actual Annual General Meeting took place after breakfast. At 10.00 o'clock, the club's acting council met, and at 11.oo pm, all members began the annual general meeting.

The “old” board was completely exonerated during the meeting and new elections were held.

The new board of the 1.German Saab Club is now composed as follows:

1.President: Matthias Meise

2. Chairman: Jens Birkholz

Cashier: Bea Backs

Secretary: Christoph Casper

At the end of the event, the Saab invasion disbanded in Bebra and the participants headed home.

Note: I know Mattias personally from many Saab meetings and countless phone calls. The members have made a good choice because Matthias lives for our brand. Congratulations from the Saabblog.net team to the new first chairman. And of course to Andreas Reithmeier, the former chairman, many thanks for the commitment of recent years.

uhh ... re.Jens ... is he ours ... was he our “wood rootworm” specialist or whatever that strange “wood beautification” job was called, with the wooden “look” of the 901CV in 1997 in Trollhätten? Or am I wrong with the name?

Hello Tom
If I saw correctly in the picture - there is a “Mercedes” in the middle, right? Don't hope this is the new president's car right now :-))
Thank you very much for your reports.
It greetings
Harry
