SAAB Weekend: Out and about, statistics and much more
Some Saab projects are unknown to me as well and it is exciting to rediscover such stories. With Marco, I was on the trail of such a lost project, and the story that is about to appear here is exciting. But today comes something Saab Talk. It's about a Saab 9-5 II sports car for sale, a new Saab website and some statistics.

We become less
The Federal Motor Transport Authority published the current statistics on January 1, 2013. The Saab population in Germany has therefore decreased from 63.535 vehicles to 60.296 within one year. A decrease of 5.1% or 3.239 vehicles. If you take into account that Saab has hardly sold any new cars in Germany in recent years, the stock is surprisingly stable. In addition, there are two cult Swedes in our hangar who were not permitted on January 1st and are now back on the road ;-).
For the statisticians among us, a few more figures: more than seven years after the sinking, the rover population in Germany has shrunk dramatically in the last 12 months. Within one year, the stock decreased from 73.013 vehicles to 52.851. But who misses Rover anyway? The rights to the brand have meanwhile migrated. From BMW to Ford and on to Tata. The Rover is now in Indian ownership, nothing is known about the future plans.
That an ongoing production does not protect against a dwindling stock, you can see at Lancia. Although American limousines are also being sold here with the Lancia logo, the stock of this traditional brand fell by more than 7% to 49.274 Lancias. Pity about the brand, which has a great tradition.

A new Saab page
The Saab Club Rhein-Main has found a new home on the Internet. Under Saab-Club-Rhein-Main.de there is the latest news about the club and Saab events. The site is still under construction and it is always worthwhile to take a look. One or two readers will have noticed that there are two sides to the regional club. Unfortunately, the original site is no longer maintained, and the owner does not release it for use by active club members. In order to simplify the reboot, the blog sponsors the web space and thus clears the way for an active club life.

Saab 9-5 II sportswear for sale
A very well-equipped Saab 9-5 II BioPower sports suit is for sale in the Netherlands. Actually surprising to see an offer so soon after the auction. A chance for collectors and fans! Approval in Germany is possible, as we now know. Saab Service Kiel has become something like the unofficial center of excellence for the sports suit and is happy to help.
