SAAB News. Further personnel decisions at NEVS.

For the weekend there is good news from Sweden. It is progressing noticeably, NEVS-Saab could fill new, important jobs with former Saab employees. Stig Nodin, until 2007 joins Saab Automobile AB, returns to Stallbacka to become the new technical director of NEVS-Saab.

Good news from NEVS-SAAB
Good news from NEVS-SAAB

He follows the same position as before leaving for Iveco, with the difference that his employer now bears the name NEVS. Kjell ac Bergström, Saab veteran and former Saab Powertrain boss, has been technical director of NEVS since the bankruptcy of Automobile AB, and will remain responsible for powertrain as a senior consultant.

Stig Nodin's first task will be to set up the organizational structure for technological development at NEVS. So far, knowledge has mainly been bought from external consultants. In the old days Saab had a strong development department and a lot of the innovations for GM came from Sweden. It will be interesting to see how much this department will develop and how much you will construct in-house in the future. Because NEVS-Saab has so far been a very lean organization with a lot of external consultants.

Also Göran Fredriksson, he turned his back on Saab 2006, is back in Trollhättan. He has worked in marketing for Saab Automobile and is now the new Manager Customer Relations at NEVS.

The ranks are filling up and more and more former Saab managers are coming “home”. Good news and a good feeling for us. Because with the employees comes the guarantee that the Saab Spirit will live on in Trollhättan.

And there are more good news, this time from Nyköping. Orio AB, formerly Saab Automobile Parts AB, continues to be part of the exciting Saab story. Orio will take over the distribution of parts for the new products from Trollhättan for NEVS, thus continuing to be a logistics service provider for our brand. Good to hear ! Sometimes just the name changes!

@ Manfred: Do not you think that if you want to tear something with Saab, you need a more modern engine? The 2.2 has gotten a bit old and has the running behavior of a tractor engine. It will also be difficult with EURO 5 or even EURO 6. By contrast, nobody would object to the 2.0 TTiD from the 9-5NG

Understandably, the very lively blogs on “GM's gasoline engines” on November 20.11.13th, XNUMX were canceled because the topic was missed by individuals.

But back to the different opinions which engine should come into play, I can point out on my blog from November 16.11.2013, XNUMX under “The saga continues ...”.

I am of the opinion that one - including Franken Troll - has mentioned that at least with the diesel
Engine on the 2.2. TiD from Opel - made in Cologne - should be used. This machine is safe
with a long lifespan - equipped with 2.2 displacement and “only” 125 HP or 98 Kw. It is still very powerful, which always surprises me. Perhaps not as economical for it, but my opinion, which has not yet been proven, could not be repaired much.
And thus the somewhat higher additional consumption certainly makes up for it.

Everything will be fine! And what's not good, is not over yet!
Pleasantly that ex-SAABians are back on board and continue to write history! The Spirit SAAB actually lives (in Trollhättan)! GREAT!!!! I'm looking forward to the next week!
