Rally Oberberg & Meeting Bavarian Forest
He's back, and who of the readers would have recognized him? The Saab R900 Group A race car is celebrating rebirth. He makes his debut on the 2. and 3. May at the ADAC Rallye Oberberg.

Saab meeting Bavarian Forest
During the R900 his comeback on the 2. and 3. May celebrates, the day before, further south, the Saab meeting Bavarian Forest instead. As always, it is organized by Matthias Ketterl, who tirelessly and with great spirit holds up the Saab flag in the south. On the grounds of Schnitzmühle Saab drivers from Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Slovakia meet.
Around 45 vehicles are registered, from the Saab two-stroke to the 9-5 NG sports combi - with 80 fans on board. Saab guests are welcome on May 1st from 15:30 p.m. In the evening there is a lecture by a Saab fan, the Bongo Bar is open for guests.
There is a special “Saab - Parking Zone” for all Saab visitors, the campsite has free capacities, as well as surrounding guest houses. Unfortunately, due to capacity reasons, day visitors cannot take part in the exit this year.
Because anticipation should be the greatest joy, a Saab video from last year's event and an interview with Simo Lampinen are available for viewing. The password is “saab” in each case.
A R900 with 9-3er rear?
Taillights and bumpers were dismantled on my last visit 2013. You may have borrowed these parts from the 9-3 for the rebuild. The spoiler is original.
Very nice R900. A few technical data would be great. Unfortunately, I'm already scheduled for the first weekend of May. Otherwise, I would like to make a trip to the Bavarian Forest. I had a long telephone conversation with Matthias Ketterl in January. He is a very nice person with the right portion of SAABmacke. I wish a nice meeting with the best weather and many beautiful Saabs.
