IntSaab2015: Day 2 / Tag 2

Starting almost with a direct uphill adventure from Aurland with small roads and lots of tourists. Stegastein with a wonderful panoramic view. On the steep roads there were many brave souls in their old Saabs. This one No 27 just making the top of the first mountain climb for the day. But there is one left even higher!
The day started almost directly with an uphill adventure from Aurland. A path with narrow streets and lots of tourists. A little later we reached Stegastein with a wonderful panoramic view. On the steep paths, many brave souls were traveling in their old Saabs. In this photo participant no. 27 can be seen, who has just climbed the top of the first mountain. But there should be an even higher mountain!

A short break to see all the different sights. There were Saabs coming and going all day. So we met a bunch of Norwegian Saabs not participating and got quite surprised.

Break in going downhill from Stegastein.
A break on the way down from Stegastein.

Sogn af Fjordarna on a really narrow road. To reach the highest road in Northern Europe. Even when you are on the top the climb still continued. Then it's all downhill to Skjölden. Tomorrow is the main camp site in Loen
To reach the highest road in Northern Europe we had to drive uphill on a steep and very narrow road. Even if you think you have already reached the top of the mountain, the road continues to climb. Then it was only downhill to Skjölden. Tomorrow we will continue to the official campsite in Loen 🙂

This is the 10th post from Marcus and Manuela Bergfeldt as “Team Günter” about their experiences in participating in the IntSaab2015 event. They are now reporting from Norway, enjoying the IntSaab2015 event in their jet black SAAB 9-5NG. Some two weeks earlier they started a pre-tour already from their home town Tranås in Sweden to Germany, via France, Belgium and Denmark to Norway. Their earlier posts can be found here and the next one will follow soon too!

🙂 We can really recommend Norway as a holiday destination! But you should take something like a camping kitchen. The food there is quite expensive! 😉
