SAAB coined some sections of my life (part 2)

In May 2015 I wrote in the last Section of my storyAlthough we are very satisfied with our black SAAB 9-5 Diesel Vector, we still hope that one day we might be able to acquire a SAAB 9-5 NG☺

We maintain a very cordial and friendly contact with our SAAB Service Center in Kirchberg (Switzerland). Almost every contact we talked about, that surely there would be a suitable exchange at some point. We were promised to inform us when a suitable bargain came in. So we had the hope that one day it could be ready and we get a phone with an offer. But since we knew the offer was very limited and the demand was very high, we waited patiently. When the telephone rang and we were informed that a SAAB 9-5 NG would be withdrawn in the near future, we were already surprised and excited.

A Saab 9-5 Aero!

I was offered: a SAAB 9-5 Aero 2.0T, Jg. 2010, with 36'000 km. Carbon Gray first-hand. Fully equipped: head up display, steering wheel controls, Business, Adaptive Chassis Drive Sense (3 modes) and Premium Top Package with ventilated leather sport seats and Smart Beam. Memory function for seat and mirror settings and electrically folding exterior mirrors. Adaptive bi-xenon cornering light with variable light distribution, SAAB infotainment navigation. Harman / Kardon Surround Sound System with 11 speakers and Bluetooth phone integration system. 4 winter bikes are also included.

What offer? And all for an affordable price. We were told that the owner was a longtime customer, but now because of the uncertain situation at SAAB had decided to buy a product of the competition.

After we were allowed to test the vehicle for several hours, it was clear to us that we simply have to have this SAAB! We were aware that such a chance is not coming back and we still have to say goodbye to our "old" diesel. He has accompanied us faithfully and without failures in the last few years and we were also very proud of him on the streets.

Below are impressions of the farewell and the promising, wonderful present:

We were able to take over the vehicle in the middle of October 2015 and have been very comfortable, quiet and if necessary driven with the necessary power for about 14'000 km. Every trip is a real treat! Let's hope that we can spend many beautiful hours with this wonderful vehicle.

With all this joy, it is hard to hear that there will not be a new SAAB - or maybe it will be later? We remain patient and like to be surprised.
