Day 2 Histo Monte 2017. Saab drives forward.

Stage number 3 and 4 led the teams from Friborg through Switzerland and France. Over the Jura Massif Central, the route went on snowy mountain roads to the day's destination to Aix-Les-Bains. A test for the participants, which brought a very good result for the team Wagenheimer.

Start in Freiburg

At 8.11 clock launched the Saab 99 of Robert and Gerd Wagenheimer in Freiburg. Nice sunny weather and dry roads provided anticipation. Towards noon clouds would rise, but the environment would remain dry. Optimal conditions for a lot of Histo Monte fun.

A route of 540 kilometers was the challenge of the day, and with the exception of the region around Basel - as always with heavy traffic - the route was a lot of fun. The Saab 99 team often encountered the Saab 96 V4 from the Eichhorn / Hable team, which was also very sporty.

Perfect on the road with snow and ice

The big moment of 99 struck the snow and ice tests. The Saab flew so perfectly through the switchbacks that the view of the AV-Clock was forgotten with enthusiasm. The result: a lot of fun, but too fast on the way.

Day 19.45 of the ended at 2 p.m. Histo Monte at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Aix-Les-Bains. A great buffet was waiting for the participants after a tough day of competition, and Walter Röhrl provided entertainment on stage. A very beautiful and almost perfect day.

The good result is almost a bit scary to our team. From the 28. Coming up, Day 2 significantly improved its ranking and is now ranked at an incredible 8 rank. Congratulations to France and we keep our fingers crossed!

Finally a compliment in the name of Robert and Gerd to Peter Göbel and his Orga team. That is, the two report, as always lonely top.
