SAAB dates November 2018
November. The days are now noticeably shorter, darker. Good that we drive Saab. Our Swedish vehicles do not require digital light automation. A Saab is usually always with low beam on the way. This increases safety, not only on gray November days. Even if we drive to one of the many Saab Stammtisch in the country.

Do you have a regular meeting, a club night, a meeting or a Saab event planned?
We like to publish! Please send your Saab appointment to: appointment (sa) saabblog.net.
It's exactly the same for me - the “damned” blog arouses my first interest in regulars or something similar. And the reports about nice trips or other activities, such as the Saab car cinema recently in Switzerland, sometimes make you really jealous. We should organize something like that in the north! Thanks again to the Swiss for this wonderful report! I immediately bought the film “A Man Called Ove”, which I didn't know before, but which we have now watched twice. These wonderful sayings from it like “Audi: four zeros on the radiator and the fifth behind the wheel” or “Rune had now given up completely” (he had bought a BMW) particularly impressed me.
Thank you also for the helpful hint regarding the xenon headlights harmful voltage spikes when starting, so I did not know that exactly, but also thought that it would be better not to have them at the start.
Best regards from HH to B!
I think that light is good and right ...
My chrome goggles (Swedish version) still have no LEDs and only three positions for the light switch: daytime, stationary and driving lights. A zero position does not exist. I first created it myself by pulling the fuse for the daytime running lights. I can highly recommend.
Only then could I start the engine without my xenon headlights playing disco and suffering unnecessarily from the voltage peaks and dips when starting. The disco xenon killer light is also a rather expensive pleasure ...
Since then, I consistently launch with light. And driving is just as consistent. If the (daytime) light is on, then of course also behind.
Unfortunately, I do not have any “relevant information” for the HH room. But I feel the same way for Berlin. For life I am rather the opposite of a regulars' cabinet maker or club manager, but the desire to exchange ideas and get to know SAAB drivers is growing. That must be due to this damned blog ...
Thanks to Mark for the always interesting date preview!
Another advantage of the Saab light is that the rear lights are also on. After all, you want to be seen from behind in the twilight! With all the modern bling-bling carts, the daytime running lights only have the headlights on, which I think is unsafe. Incidentally, on bright days I misuse the LED parking lights as daytime running lights on my Griffin Cabrio, it is perhaps a bit more economical and protects the xenon headlights, the LED strips are also easy to see. You have to think about turning it off, but no problem, it beeps so nicely! 😉
Does anyone actually know anything about a regulars' table in HH? There are photos of it on Instagram, but here (and also at the Saab Club) there is never anything to read about it. I would like to go to such a “secret meeting”. Thank you in advance for any useful information!
