SAAB dates March 2020
The cover photo for our Saab calendar in March 2020 was deliberately chosen. The first generation Saab 9-5 is an endangered species and is disappearing more and more from the streets. In particular, the classic with the traditional chrome grill is in principle already extinct today. Facelift models and chrome glasses are also becoming increasingly rare. The offer of the used car exchanges is thin, if you are thinking about driving a 9-5 again you should search now.
Because the situation will hardly be more relaxed in the future. It would be a shame if the remaining vehicles were also exported. Because they are great cars!
However, it looks really good for our Saab diary in March 2020. The scene around the Swedish brand is extremely active. If you like, you can find round tables and meetings that are spread from north to south. Spending time with nice people, chatting about Saab can be very relaxing.

I drive a 9-5 model 01 myself.
Has become very rare and is being slaughtered more and more.
He faces what happened to the 9000 years ago.
Unfortunately it is a misunderstood size - especially as a station wagon.
With the chrome grill, it is still typical of Saab.
Otherwise a really well made Saab.
If you were or are used to the 9000, then the facelift is the first choice.
The leather seats, the cockpit, the many glow in the trunk - all of that later became inferior or fell away completely.
And the black and red taillights are coming back into fashion - see BMW.
Now it's best to get one and maintain it.
Nothing rattles here yet.

As a friend of the endangered species and a passionate Saabist, it was a pleasure for me to buy a 1998 9-5 2.3 LPT last August. And not even 10km from my home address.
First hand, only serviced at the Saab dealer in Munich and Freising and driven 70.000km. Yes, there is still something like that. Our friends at Taubenberger in Bad Tölz also paid respect to the car and its condition.
Forget a treat. The Saab also has the original license plate holder from Hirschbold, Munich. There I bought my first Saab in 1987. A 9000i.
