Week 7 of the Corona Diary. Bavaria eases the restrictions slightly, other federal states are more courageous. It is difficult to keep track of what is allowed and what is forbidden. The federal system, strength and weakness of the country in one, leaves a patchwork of regulations. The corona crisis is a burden and a great drama. But crises are always opportunities too.
Corona has different effects. Some are under pressure because the economic basis is collapsing. Others have a little more time and use the space to tackle new projects. Not everything is bad, you just have to see your options and take action. One of the two restaurants in our small village has recently started offering pick-up food. Freshly prepared, new ideas every week. The weekly ticket is available in the social media literally celebrated, the customers are eagerly awaiting them. The service is enthusiastically received and business is going well. Everyone is satisfied because they made the best of the crisis. And may soon have other, even better ideas.
Another example. There is also an embroidery in the building of our house printing house. A young company with state-of-the-art machines that heard about our Saab passion on the short official journey.
Crises are opportunities
Why not produce breathing masks with Saab lettering? A creative answer to the crisis. Masks will (will) accompany us for a long time, they are also a fashion accessory and statement. We presented the first prototype on Twitter and Facebook. We are now working on the colors and subtleties of the design. In the coming days there will be a larger selection of Saab masks that we are presenting here. Orders will then be possible directly from the manufacturer.
You may have more time in the crisis. The ability to do things you always wanted to do. Sometimes there are rebirths. Legends of the auto blog scene that haven't published anything for a long time are coming back. The Youngtimer Blog from Idstein is an almost legendary site. After a long break he is back and brings a colorful selection of automotive topics. Always with a personal look at the automotive facts, never adapted and not a bit boring. Great car reading for the day!
Doing things you want to do
After about 10 years Saabblog it is time for me to do other things too. Ideas that I've been carrying around for a while and that have nothing to do with Saab. But I kept putting it off because the time was never there. Or I thought it wasn't.
My new digital car project was born last week. There is still a lot to do before it will go online. It will be autumn or winter. I do it because now is the time, life is finite and nothing should be put off forever. My expectations? If someone will read it, I would be happy.
What's next on the blog next week?
It will be entertaining. Readers can experience how we get a Saab out of a barn after 17 years. And we go to war. In pithy words and of course together with Saab. Strong tobacco.
