Very close to the new car. Saab 9-3 Aero 2000.
In Sweden the summer campaign for collector vehicles takes place on June 17th. An interesting offer is the Saab 9-3 Aero with first registration in 2000. Only 20 years old, more a classic car than a classic. His specialty? An almost new condition and low mileage. Is that enough to arouse the fans' interest?

Saab sold the top models of the respective series under the aero designation. Powerful and sporty, still in demand today. Unfortunately, also rarely, because high mileages and inadequate maintenance, in combination with years of low used car prices, reduced the inventory. The era of cheap vehicles is over, as is the great selection. Good and well-groomed has to be paid for when you find it.
Saab 9-3 Aero model year 2000
Auctioned in Sweden Bilweb a Saab 9-3 Aero with only 38.000 kilometers. This is very rare, in addition, the Saab scores with a consistent history and only two owners. The estimate is correspondingly confident. The auctioneers set the price between the converted € 9.100 and € 10.500. Is the aero worth the money? The 9-3 is a model year 2000. It does not have the coveted and visually attractive Viggen Body Kit. Its outward appearance is very subtle, especially by today's standards.
It doesn't have to be a disadvantage. Because the 2 liter turbo engine with 205 hp is more hearty than the numbers suggest. The 9-3 Aero is something like the troll in sheep's clothing. In the very neat, new-looking interior, the perfectly shaped aero seats catch the eye. They were also exchanged for the famous seats from the 9-3 Viggen in the following model year. The best seats in the series - without question. But the old version of the Aero chairs is close and visually very attractive.
Is the asking price justified?
Very good specimens, with higher mileage and Viggen Kit, were traded for similar amounts in the months before Corona. As I said, it was the pre-crisis period with a better mood and more positive outlook. The question is what attractiveness fans want to give the relatively understated aero. The auctioneers rate the condition as very good, seeing it close to the new car. Slight signs of wear and tear cannot really cloud the image. Only the battery is available for replacement.
The very low mileage and its rarity meanwhile speak for the Saab 9-3 Aero. There is no question that it is an upcoming classic. Interested parties should definitely keep an eye on the auction on June 17th. If the minimum price is not reached, there may be a good opportunity in the after sale. Because, as I said, you can hardly find an aero with such a low mileage today.

For 87.000 SEK, about 8.300 €, he went over the table (the auction); damn lot of car with really long life expectancy for the money (and maybe I should have thought about it all before ..)
Very attractive! A timeless form with high utility value. If you like it is even offered too cheap. I'm afraid with Corona in the background, he will most likely go under estimated.
Great car! Hopefully find a lover.
I'm curious at what price it will go away ...
Will the blog report on it?
It's a hell of a lot and a damn good car compared to the estimated price. What else do you get for 10K with this mileage?
The engine, the seats, the trunk and the rims for the summer. A damn tasty overall package.
After all, the steel rims are still flying around with me somewhere. I miss everything else and I would like to ...
Great car and then with such mileage!
Just a dream !
Very nice car. I think without the Viggen body kit, it has a nice slim appearance. If the alu 36 are on it, I think the car is perfect.
