Saab in action in Bad Kissingen and Bad Wimpfen

The Saab focus for the coming weekend is in Franconia. The Franken Classic starts in Bad Kissingen, and for three days the Bavarian state bath is all about historical sheet metal. 130 vehicles will be at the start, legendary brands such as MG, Alvis, Riley, Lancia and of course Saab will be there.

• Weekend 03. - 05.09 Franken Classic 2021

The Wagenheimer team is at the start of this year's Franken Classic for Saab. It should be the premiere for the new Saab 96, which the team recently released acquired Has. The 96 is prepared for historic motorsport, we'll see how it does.

In the illustrious starting field, the Saab from 1979 takes on the role of the exotic. There are no other Swedish vehicles to be found, but the mix of brands is overall coherent and interesting. The Wagenheimer team starts with the number 124.

The route and the transit times of the 3 rally days are online available. The weather on the weekend promises a pleasant early autumn. What speaks against Franconia and enjoying the good local cuisine and following the rally and the Wagenheimer team?

The meeting point is the parking lot “Lindenplatz / Kloster Bad Wimpfen” in Bad Wimpfen (valley).

If you come via the A 6, take the Heilbronn / Untereisesheim exit.

Follow the L 1100 in the direction of Bad Wimpfen.

We will meet from 10.30 a.m. and start the tour at 11.00 a.m.

The exit goes through the Odenwald approx. 100 - 120 kilometers.

Please come with your oldies, because we will drive comfortably and relaxed.

A lunch break is planned. Everyone should bring their own food. For the lunch break you are welcome to take the following things with you: parasol, camping table, chairs - umbrella (hopefully this will only be used as a parasol).

The tour ends - this is the current plan - in Mauer / Baden. There we will stop at an inn at around 17.00 p.m.

From there it is about 20 minutes to the Sinsheim motorway exit on the A 6 or the Walldorfer Kreuz to the A 5.
