If you have been driving through Trollhättan in recent years, a detour down to Göta Älv was a must. Where the old Saab factory is. With a brief interruption, no cars have rolled off the assembly line there since 2011. Still, it was not quiet and lonely. The plant ran in stand-by mode for years. An undefined hum in the background was mostly present. Like a huge machine just waiting to be woken up.
