Climate neutrality - Saab BioPower Concept 100 Geneva 2007

Climate neutrality - an explosive topic. You could have acted 14 years ago. At that time, Saab presented the BioPower Concept 100 in Geneva. A fuel that is 100% from regenerative cultivation could have reduced the CO₂ emissions of road traffic.

Immediately and noticeably.

Saab had the technology to do it. Happened - nothing. The alliance of mainstream media and oil lobby saw ethanol in direct competition with food production. A truth that was true for the first generation of the fuel, but not for the following generations.

Green fuel for the combustion engine fleet could have been produced on a large scale from waste from industry, forestry and agriculture. The roots of the concept lie in the 90s. And the story didn't end in 2011, there are still unanswered questions.
