The Super Swede - Saab 900 Turbo (1979)
The Super Swede! It happened in 1979. The passenger car department of the Saab-Scania group shed its usual restraint and advertised with superlatives. What could have happened? Two super Swedes were at the start. One, born in Stockholm, was named Björn Borg. He has won the Wimbledon tennis tournament every year since 1976. The other was the Saab 900 Turbo, which saw the light of day with the 1979 model year. Two super Swedes who liked each other immediately. Because Mr. Borg immediately got into the new Saab. And it was really remarkable.
