Exciting Citroën C3 Aircross prototype spotted

Citroën has only recently started deliveries of the revised C3 Aircross. The model is still rare on the roads, and we too are waiting for ours Order. Now an exciting Citroën prototype has been sighted, which could announce an expansion of the product range. Because there is a gap in the brand's program that would be important to close.

Citroën C3 Aircross with 7 seats?

The first photo of the C3 Aircross prototype was on “passionnement citroen” to see. The French blog, always well informed on the subject of the brand with the double chevron, sees the vehicle as a possible longer C3 Aircross with 7 seats. This shows the sideline and the wheelbase, which is noticeably longer than that of the normal C3.

The shape of the roof and the design up to the A-pillar speak for the fact that a C3 Aircross is really hidden under the camouflage. The taillights, in turn, apparently take the design of the new one C4X and the C5 Aircross on. And the window after the C-pillar also indicates a design consistency in line with the C5 Aircross.

With the larger variant, perhaps two wheelbases will be offered in parallel in the medium term, the manufacturer could close a gap in the SUV range.

She gapes between that C3 Aircross, which is a compact offer for the city, and the C5 Aircross, which is not only visually two sizes larger. An SUV between the two models, with more space, would be logical. And would find a niche in this segment that would be worth filling.

Pictures that could provide more information are not yet available. Unfortunately, no photos showing the front either. However, the prototype seems to be quite well developed and not far removed from the series. Experience has shown that more image material, possibly also from official sources, can be expected in the near future.

"...You will soon have even more problems,...why?,... well, because you want to buy a French car!" ...ok, I'll stop quoting Ove already 😉

The French are doing their job and you're happy about any car with a bit of character, the retro Citroen may look nice, but they're only covered with additional plastic. True reduction to the essentials is almost impossible to find anymore. I still admire the C1, which I was sometimes allowed / had to drive, for what you can leave out, compared to our SAABs. The reduction is perhaps no longer possible because of the regulations and the zeitgeist.
Fortunately, my wife likes all of our SAAB vehicles and so does the son, so we are not tempted.... and yes, I admit that I was hoping for the Hengchi 1 in SAAB dress. I also liked reading the reports from China related to SAAB.

It's a pity that there wasn't much to report from Italy, if that's what you wanted to do...

With religious zeal, Auto-Bild once prophesied a veritable model firework display from Alfa. Although Alfa diligently denied, some Alfisti continued to believe the self-appointed missionaries and prophets for years...

A neighbor and devout Alfisti therefore believed in a Giulia station wagon for years and waited, waited and waited. He recently gave up hope and bought one.
The journalists' visions were certainly well-meaning and I liked them. The prophets would have liked to have been right. However, they have latently damaged Alfa. Instead of buying, some have waited for the fireworks, for the prophecies to be fulfilled.
Not good for Alfa at all...

      PS
The prototype looks – as far as you can tell with Dazzle & Camouflage – unpretentious and pleasing.
But I don't think it's capable of 7 comfortable and easily accessible seats plus the rest of the trunk. Either way, it's an interesting sighting. According to the picture in Asia, probably China, right?

Asia fits, China doesn't. Image is from Chennai, India.

Well, well, well... Tom, Tom, Tom...
... quite a lot of Citroën in the last few days (weeks?)! 😉

    PS:
... but I have absolutely nothing against it! 🙂
Gladly more often in homeopathic, gladly also increased doses! 🙂

And – only in my personal opinion! - also much better than any old China news, unfortunately also some unpleasant NEVS contributions in the past, until recently also Sono or similar {it's a pity, but unfortunately the company topic is probably too "long-winded"/tough/ uncertain meanwhile) or such exotic stuff as from Koenigsegg (breaks almost every wallet anyway and is certainly not sooooo contemporary).

... but thanks to your contributions, there are also - at least for me - always other interesting (and also individual and above all mid. just as "quirky") things to discover to the right and left of the Swedish-Mexican side windows from the automotive world! 🙂 🙂

Yes, a lot of Citroën 😉

The feedback on the topic is surprising and consistently positive. I never expected that. There have been many, sometimes very long and personal emails from readers in the last few days. This brings fresh perspectives and makes writing about it even more fun.

        Nice... I'm happy! 🙂
(I think I told my SM flat nose elementary school story briefly here....

PS: the “Tanke” (and tiny car dealer) also had a Matra-Simca Rancho {I also found it fascinating as a kid} and – I think – a Matra-Simca Bagheera or similar in a second window (found it as a Little boy but "stupid").

Why not, the Fiat 500 also has a 7-seater long version
