Automotive history is full of missed opportunities. What if Saab had put a station wagon alongside the 900 family? There was the hatchback, the sedan and the cabriolet. Only the mid-size station wagon segment remained unrecorded for unknown reasons. Were you afraid of a direct confrontation with Volvo? A concept for a 900 station wagon already existed. The 900 Safari. Saab would only have had to access it.
