DNA Collectibles is dead - we still have model cars for you!
DNA Collectibles is located in Clearance. For the Saab scene, the disappearance of the small brand is a bitter loss. The beginnings of DNA were with Saab, without occupying this niche so successfully, there would not have been the temporary rise of the supplier.
Now it's over. However, the producer in China, who works for DNA on a contract basis, has announced that it will launch further models whose design DNA has already completed. Under the DNA label and with the design created by the Swiss. Which is not legal and has the insipid aftertaste that collectors may have to pay twice for some miniatures.
It is clear to us that we will not participate in this, in our opinion the risks outweigh the risks. However, we bought the remaining DNA Collectibles miniatures from the wholesaler. One last time there are now DNA model cars in our shop.
DNA model cars are now collectibles
What exactly led to the end is still unknown. Perhaps it was an unfortunate entanglement of management mistakes, quality issues and a difficult market lawsuit. Quality problems are currently being reported by some of the small suppliers who do not have their own production facilities and can only have them manufactured on a subcontract basis. The supposedly inexpensive production in China certainly offers opportunities. But also risks and dependencies that can drive a smaller brand to its demise.
For the members of the Saab Aero X Club, we offer the collector's items at particularly favorable conditions, just as it was before. The number of pieces is limited, our wholesaler will no longer get replenishment. It is also clear that these model cars now have real collector's status, simply because of the tragic development.
DNA Collectibles always advertised it. Now the advertising promise has been redeemed in an unfortunate way. Many would have wished otherwise. One last chance to add to the collection. You can order from now on Aero X Club Store.

But the question is ... where does thesaabfarm get individual models? From China from the producer?
And by the way also expensive on eBay and presumably offered plus duty and taxes
Naturally. He has an online shop for the Saab models.
It's really a shame that there won't be any more models from DNA. I had no complaints about the (processing) quality of my models.
I was able to order the TurboX SC through thesaabfarm.com. They also have the 9000 in other colors in stock. Regarding the shipping from China, I am concerned that this could cause problems.
It's a pity that there will be no more DNA models. I really liked the selection of Saab models.
@ Tom: I looked in the shop but didn't find anything about DNA. Are they sold out or not listed yet?
Dear Olaf, everything was already sold out last night.
Thank you and nice weekend.
