January 2023 - a Saab 9000 on the road as a small transporter
The year started with a lot of work and the 9000 was allowed to prove itself as a pickup truck. It's extreme the amount of freight such an old Saab can swallow as if that were nothing. The classic 900 was already a gifted hauler, but the 9000 is even better in all respects.
That gives you food for thought once again. About automotive progress, which produces cars with ever larger external dimensions and lower utility, one of the phenomena that seems to develop parallel to the price tag. My Swedish pickup truck accepted everything in January without complaint. It was loaded to the brim with Saab parts, with tons of paper with historical car literature printed on it.
He commuted between Frankfurt am Main and Bamberg, consumption went down by another tenth. And a long-standing problem is beginning to be solved. Of course, the trolls stay in the game. When I think how reliable the 9000 is, they announce themselves from the background - with malicious troll laughter.
