Garry Small Saab - dreamlike Saab worlds in Portland (2)
Portland, 82 Avenue. Garry Small Saab. It's early in the morning, but Saab life pulsates here. I watch the scenery with fascination. I won't stay alone for long. A very friendly, smiling person comes up to me and I notice how he looks at my unconscious personal “signpost”. The Saab Base Cap from the Aero X Store.
I meet the head of customer service who is also Garry's son. Yes, you know the SaabBlog and are very happy about the visit. But Garry won't be in the house before noon, he himself has to go back to the waiting customers. However, I am allowed to go in everywhere, take pictures of everything and I am happy to wait or come back when the boss is back.
Saab family. Big and international. Incidentally, I learn that the company has been around since 1986, Garry just turned 81 and still works every day.
