This is aircraft quality - a Saab 92 since 1956 in one hand
Saab often advertised with the term aircraft quality. Was that just a slogan? Not at all, because anyone who gets into a classic Saab or a youngtimer will still get a feeling of what was meant by it. Saab built well thought out, valuable vehicles. However, after the complete takeover by Detroit, the issue of the aircraft and the desired quality weakened at times.
But that's another matter.
Of course, the Saab 92, which started it all, was the real airplane back then. The iconic design of a wing, the fully covered underbody, the high quality of the construction and the materials used. All of this contributed to the fact that there were owners who remained loyal to their Saab for a long time. Very long. For example since 1956.
