30 years Saab 900 NG - SACA invites you to Andalusia

Andalusia is the most populous and second largest province in Spain. This part of the country is an area of ​​superlatives. Whether it's about big and historic cities like Seville, Córdoba, Malaga or Granada with the breathtaking Alhambra. To wild national parks, the southernmost ski area in Europe in the Sierra Nevada. A defunct Swedish car brand is celebrated in the southernmost part of our continent. All registers are pulled out. Because a thirtieth birthday is always something very special. Especially when it comes to Saab.

Mark already mentioned it in the messages from the Saab scene (Link). On the weekend of September 30th and October 1st, the Andalusian Saab Club SACA (Link) organized celebrations for the 30th anniversary of the Saab 900 NG in Estepona.

Although the focus is on this model and its direct successor 9-3 OG, all Saab drivers and their treasures are cordially invited. In addition to a casual Spanish meeting of Saab fans from all parts of Spain, Portugal and - hopefully - many countries beyond the Pyrenees, an extensive program is planned.

Many a piece of Swedish jewelry likes and may find a new owner. A rare and sought-after spare part as well. A decision is also made on the most beautiful specimen. Depending on the number of participants and the variety of their vehicles, there may be several categories.

There will be no lack of local cuisine over the course of the two days. And attendees will have the opportunity to learn why 'The Lizi' writes so much about enjoying the coast and winding country roads in a Saab in his posts.

Estepona (Link) is far south of Spain. Local participants also have to cover several hundred kilometers to take part. Me for example – from Barcelona to Estepona it is a nice route. Of course, the invitation also applies to all Saab enthusiasts who would like to be there without their jewel. Malaga Airport is less than an hour's drive from Estepona. It could also be exciting to travel via Gibraltar, whose airport is a little closer.

Accommodation in Estepona

With the Hotel Ona Valle Romano (Link) in Estepona, SACA has reached an attractive agreement for the participants. For apartments with two bedrooms, depending on occupancy, between 50 and 60 euros in the booking period from 29.09. until 01.10. per night without meals. The allotment is limited to 15 rooms.

Slightly different, but also recommended by SACA, are the bungalows los pedregales (Link).

Since these accommodations are very close to the action, a Saab shuttle service is a matter of course for participants who arrive without a Saab.

In addition to the two hotels, Estepona offers something exciting for every visitor with an excellent tourist infrastructure.

I would be very happy if as many readers as possible could take the opportunity to be part of one of the biggest events of the extremely exciting Spanish Saab scene. Also for me it will be the famous first time to attend a meeting in the south of the peninsula.
