Is dry ice blasting cheap and effective? That's the cost!
Our Saab 9-3 Aero Hirsch Performance has finally done the dry ice blasting. The underbody looks almost as it came fresh from the body shop on Göta Älv. The method did what it promised. Dry ice blasting is effective and particularly gentle on the material. A clear recommendation from my side when it comes to the renovation of a classic Saab.
But there is another chapter that is still open. What are the costs to be expected if you decide to go for dry ice blasting? Does the more effective and cleaner method beat the traditional flex? Or is an innovation surcharge to be calculated? I did the math with the workshop. The result is revealing.
