Number 29 from the pre-series - a unique Saab 99 Turbo

It was once considered not unusual for pre-series vehicles to end up in the hands of customers. It is only recently that manufacturers have been collecting pre-series vehicles again for legal reasons - and scrapping them. But in 1977 the rules were different. And it was - turbo time!

In Trollhättan, they were working on a revolution that had written nothing less than the democratization of the turbo on their banners. In autumn, the 99 Turbo would celebrate its world premiere at the IAA in Frankfurt, and the pre-series vehicles were already on the road in Sweden.

100 turbo copies are said to have been created, most of which were driven by factory employees. They had to report on their experiences, it seems to have been an exciting time.
