Simo Lampinen - a Finnish rally icon celebrates his 80th birthday
Saab has a long rally history. If you look at the brand and its history in motorsport, you will always come across another rally driver alongside Erik Carlsson and Stig Blomqvist.
Simo Lampinen.
He was born on June 22.06.1943nd, 20 in Porvo Southern Finland. Simo was already enthusiastic about motor sports in his youth and started driving in rallies at an early age. With some success, at just 1000 years old he won his first international competition, competing in the 93 Lakes Rally in a Saab XNUMX Sport.
That was the start of a series of victories!
