Trollhattan relevant? Evergrande Auto (Hengchi) is back!
In the wake of the hype surrounding this Emily project, another topic was pushed into the background. Evergrande Auto is still present in Trollhättan. The company continues to hold 20% of the area of the former Saab properties in the Stallbacka industrial area - as a wild card for future European activities. All other land has been sold to the municipality, which wants a say in the development, and to a private developer.
The decision changed the industrial area significantly. Polestar is now active in the former Saab development center and in autumn new life is to move into the former Saab factory (Link). Maybe Trollhättan will make a great comeback in the near future. Under certain circumstances, the city on the Göta Älv will even become the location of a Hengchi production.
Because Evergrande Auto officially reported back yesterday.
