Great interest in using the Saab test track in Trollhättan
The former Saab test track connects directly to the former plant. A small, discreet tunnel leads from the factory premises to the railway. In this way, Saab prevented prototypes and test vehicles from being photographed undesirably. The test site was eagerly booked even after the factory gates were closed.
The most prominent user in recent years, along with other OEMs, has been Koenigsegg. The hypercars from Ängelholm complained about at least one spectacular accident on the track, and the manufacturer now has its own modern testing facilities in Valhall Park. However, the interest in using it does not diminish, on the contrary. It is increasing again, even if the track is showing its age.
