Kazakhstan - the SAAB that came out of the steppe

The professional life as a management consultant sometimes takes you to places you never dreamed of working there. That's how it was for me in early 2020 when I went to Kazakhstan for a project on behalf of a German transport company.

On site, the aim was to develop and implement some improvements together with Kazakh colleagues. The project ran until March 2021, from September 2020 to March 2021 I was on site for half a month in Astana, the capital, which was then called Nur-Sultan. Now it is called again – as before 2019 – Astana.
