Special protection vehicles from Saab were available earlier than expected

The research into Saab special protection vehicles is moving into the next round. This chapter of the brand's history has so far been poorly or not at all documented. It's like a big puzzle for which more and more pieces are gradually being delivered. This causes some surprises.

The original idea at the beginning of the investigation that the special vehicle construction took place in the factory was incorrect.

The special protection vehicles were not equipped in parallel with the variants for police, emergency services or for apron operations in the Swedish factory (Link). They didn't come from Sweden at all, a renowned foreign supplier took care of the production (Link). Unfortunately, its company archive no longer exists; the company was bought many years ago and the factories were closed.

You can no longer ask questions. But there were Saab special protection vehicles before the 9000 CC Turbo - and even after.

Let's start by continuing the search for clues.
