We're swapping the Saab 9-5 Aero for a Polestar 2!
Polestar has rented parts of the former Saab development center. A former Saab engineer is responsible for tuning the chassis of the Polestar 2. With Mats Fägerhag, CEO of the Swedish Geely development company CEVT, a well-known Saab development boss is naturally involved in every Polestar model.
When the Polestar 2 came onto the market, the Swedish motor press suspected that it had Saab genes behind it. Of course, the majority of all former Saab employees worked in Gothenburg at the time and still do today. The Polestar 2 could be the modern successor to the 99, it was read (Link). That was a bit too much Saab nostalgia and even the engineers involved in the project waved it off.
But, the Polestar 2 is a partly Swedish hatchback with an elegant LED strip at the rear. Can you just walk past it?
