For sale is a real collector's item for true Saab connoisseurs:
Saab 9-3 Cabrio from 2001 with a moderate 196.500 km mileage and extensive Hirsch Performance technology: not only the Hirsch software tuning for the engine to 211 hp, but also a Hirsch Performance Saab 9-3 I Cabrio Hirsch Performance (engine + brakes + Chassis brake system on the front axle (discs, pads and saddles), the Hirsch Performance chassis (dampers and springs) and of course the original Hirsch 17 ″ light alloy wheels with the appropriate 225 / 45-17 tires. Of course, all Hirsch Performance optimizations are in the vehicle documents registered.
The vehicle is optically and technically in very good condition and is - in contrast to unfortunately many other offers - in an untampered original condition, which has only been further refined with a few add-on parts (door handles in matching wood and a brake lever sleeve in real leather).
I couldn't find any rust on the body, minor signs of use only to a very small extent and the leather was also regularly cared for with the products of the leather center and is in an extraordinarily beautiful condition. The current, unedited photos give a very good impression of the current condition of the vehicle.
During the last almost 30.000 km, investments of around € 6.000 were made in the technology (€ 2.600 of this alone in the last few months - in each case without service work), with an adequate exchange in the event of a necessary replacement of Hirsch parts Respect for parts of the former Hirsch suppliers - e.g. with the shock absorbers on the front axle through the installation of Sachs sport shock absorbers (the brand also used by Hirsch on the present vehicle) and the use of Eibach springs on the rear axle with identical parameters as the springs used by Hirsch (which themselves have the Eibach imprint ...). The preservation of the original condition had a very high priority - partly contrary to the proposal by Hirsch to upgrade to the series version of an Eros.
Of course, all technical work was carried out by a specialist workshop, the personal contribution was limited to the leather and body care (the latter using products from Swissöl).
The following work was carried out during the last approx. 30.000 km and is also documented by corresponding invoices:
(current mileage: 196.000)
- 195.169 km - both brake calipers, discs, pads and ropes on the rear axle renewed, both front shock absorbers renewed (Sachs Sport), new tank clamp - € 1.660,30
- km 193.717 - all O- and sealing rings on the rack and pinion steering renewed - € 237,70
- km 192.411 - Front brake pads renewed (Hirsch system) - € 386,20
- km 191.548 - vehicle measured and adjusted - € 185,99
- km 188.879 - rev encoder renewed - € 197,43
- km 184.947 - Suspension strut mount, repaired with Heuschmid repair kit - € 209,88
- km 183.217 - Coupling (LUK) renewed - € 674,73
- 169.000 km - throttle valve and non-return valve renewed - € 659,56
- km 167.403 - turbocharger renewed - 1.191,67
In addition, the convertible was fitted with new tires in April 2021 (Vredestein Ultrac 225 / 45R17 Y) - € 294,80
and in June 2020 the battery (Varta 72 Ah) was renewed in-house - € 67,88
The rear axle springs were replaced after approx. 180.000 km, unfortunately the invoice is missing ... - approx. € 300,00
The last oil service took place at km 187.688, the last HU inspection in September 2020.
The following further optimization options should not be concealed:
- Currently replacement of the rusted rear silencer - here, for example, Heuschmid has both complete stainless steel exhaust systems and mufflers too pleasingly fair
calculated prices in the offer, unless you want to keep the series parts (I wanted to leave the decision to the new owner).
- New impregnation of the convertible top or, in the medium / long term, replacement of the convertible top
My Saab certainly is can not be the suitable object for those interested, who want a lot of performance, inappropriate rims from the accessories catalog (mainly wide and cheap ...) at the lowest possible prices - best combined with all sorts of handicrafts from any forum posts. I would ask this group of interested parties to find other information (corresponding vehicles are easy to find) and to refrain from contact - we would only be wasting our time on both sides.
Serious Saab enthusiasts are cordially invited to view and test drive my Hirsch convertible, and I will be happy to answer your questions.
I am happy to answer your questions using the eBay contact function. Attentive viewers of the photos will also find a way to make direct contact ...
