From lover to lover ...
The last big Saab.
The new design icon and the last attempt of the Swedes to rip the rudder.
Also known as the "Transatlantic"
This unique piece tells its own part of this story.
Built as a test vehicle and approved for Saab Automobile AB, it was flown to America in the summer of 2011 to be reviewed by GM engineers.
One of very few US models with manual transmission.
Originally built as Turbo4 Premium with Color Display, Smart Beam, Drive Sense and Head-Up. The only vehicle in this configuration, as they never had to be ordered.
2014 got the vehicle in my hands and was rebuilt by the 9-5 specialist in Germany to EU specifications and made eligible for a §21 acceptance.
In the course of this, the vehicle received the aero look, the Hirsch stainless steel exhaust system as well as the diffuser and spoiler - none of this is available today.
19 ″ turbine rims and aero seating including rear seat entertainment were added later.
To round it off, the vehicle 2016 was completely cavity and underbody sealed by an authorized Saab partner. Snow or salt has never seen the vehicle since.
